A Message to Parents/Guardians and Students
A MESSAGE TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS AND STUDENTS
It's hard to believe that we are already halfway through the 2024-25 school year, and course selection for the 2025-26 year is approaching. This process is a critical one, and it is important for both students and their parents to actively participate, as it will shape their schedules for the coming school year. Our faculty and counseling staff are available to provide assistance throughout the course selection process. We strongly encourage students to take this task seriously. We recommend that students consult with their teachers and counselors to create the most appropriate schedule.
We are also excited to welcome the incoming ninth-grade class—the Class of 2029—to Donegal High School. Course selection marks the first step in a series of actions designed to ensure a smooth and successful transition from Donegal Junior High School to Donegal High School. As students review the curriculum guide, they will find general information about our school, course selection sheets, a planning guide, and specific course descriptions from each department.
Please be sure to note the deadlines for course selection. These deadlines are important to help us provide tentative schedules for all students by the end of the current school year. Students who wish to meet with their counselors individually to discuss course choices and potential schedules will have the opportunity to do so.
The master schedule at Donegal High School is shaped by student selections. Therefore, it is essential that students approach course selection thoughtfully and purposefully. Please review the course descriptions carefully and understand the requirements for each course you choose. Students will not be able to request schedule changes after August 8, 2025.
Sincerely,
The DHS Administrative Team

Heather Hairhoger, Assistant Principal
